Is underwater swimming safe for babies? Yes it is. When a baby goes underwater their diving reflex kicks in. A similar thing happens as we swallow -the epiglottis closes over and blocks the throat so no water can get through. That's why you often see picture of babies swimming underwater with their mouths open! This reflex is said to last about 18 months so that's another good reason to start your baby swimming classes early.
If you have any enquiries or suggestions about the underwater photography please email us: info@aquashots.co.uk
